Cyclohexane is an organic compound with the chemical formula C6H12. It is a colorless liquid with a pungent odor. Insoluble in water, soluble in most organic solvents. Extremely flammable. It is generally used as a general solvent, chromatographic analysis standard substance, and for organic synthesis. It can be applied in resins, coatings, fats, paraffin oils, and can also be used to prepare organic compounds such as cyclohexanol and cyclohexanone.
Function and Application
1. This product is used as a solvent for rubber, coatings, and varnishes, as a diluent for adhesives, and as an extractant for oils and fats. Due to its low toxicity, this product is often used as a substitute for benzene for degreasing, lubricating grease removal, and paint removal. This product is mainly used to manufacture monomers such as adipic acid, hexamethylenediamine, and caprolactam for nylon, as well as raw materials for the production of cyclohexanol and cyclohexanone;
2. Used as an analytical reagent, such as a solvent, and as a standard substance for chromatographic analysis. Also used in organic synthesis;
3. Complexation titration of copper, iron, silicon, aluminum, calcium, magnesium, etc. Chromatographic analysis standards;
4. Used as a photoresist solvent;
5. Used for extracting essential oils;
6. Cyclohexane is used as a cleaning and degreasing agent. MOS grade is mainly used for discrete devices, medium and large-scale integrated circuits, while BV-III grade is mainly used for ultra large scale integrated circuits.
Storage precautions
Store in a cool and ventilated warehouse. Stay away from sources of fire and heat. The storage temperature should not exceed 30 ℃. Keep the container sealed. It should be stored separately from oxidants and avoid mixing storage. Adopt explosion-proof lighting and ventilation facilities. Prohibit the use of mechanical equipment and tools that are prone to generating sparks. The storage area should be equipped with emergency response equipment for leaks and suitable containment materials.
